You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, e.g. 16 in parts of the EU) to use the Service, and at least 18 to monetise. You are responsible for your account, keeping your credentials secure, and all activity under it. Provide accurate information and keep it current.

You retain ownership of the content you upload, import or stream ("Your Content"). You grant HecticTV a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for formatting/transcoding), publish, publicly perform and display Your Content solely to operate, promote and improve the Service. This licence ends when you delete Your Content, except for copies retained for backups, legal compliance, or where already shared with others.

You represent and warrant that you own or have all rights necessary to grant this licence and that Your Content does not infringe any third-party rights or violate any law.

The Service lets you embed or import content from third-party platforms (e.g. YouTube). You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to do so and for complying with those platforms' terms. Embedded content is served by the third party and subject to their terms and privacy practices; HecticTV does not control and is not responsible for it.

You must not use the Service to upload, share or transmit content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, obscene, hateful, harassing, or that depicts or promotes harm, exploitation of minors, or terrorism. You must not attempt to breach security, scrape, reverse-engineer, disrupt, or circumvent access controls, rate limits or moderation. See our Community Guidelines.

The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by HecticTV and protected by law. Except for Your Content, nothing in these Terms grants you any right in the Service. You may not copy, modify or create derivative works of the Service.

We respect intellectual-property rights and respond to valid takedown notices. If you believe content infringes your copyright, follow the process on our Copyright / DMCA page. We terminate repeat infringers.

Creator monetisation (memberships, tips, payouts) is provided via third-party payment processors (e.g. Stripe) and subject to their terms. You are responsible for any taxes on your earnings. We may withhold or reverse payments in cases of fraud, chargebacks, or policy violations.

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for breach of these Terms, legal reasons, or risk to the Service or others. You may stop using and delete your account at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. content licence for existing copies, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity) will survive.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. You use the Service at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HecticTV and its officers, employees and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, goodwill or content. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) £100. Nothing limits liability that cannot be excluded by law (e.g. death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HecticTV from any claims, damages, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or any law or third-party right.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version with an updated date and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
